Sam Baratta is a long-time street evangelist who first heard the call for the Giant Slayer Club and Academy over a decade ago. The journey to get here has been lit with self-education, inner healing, deliverance, learning to forgive and let go of pain, learning to forgive himself, and letting God be God in his life.
Although the Giant Slayer Club and Academy are just making their way out into the world, the journey to get here has been an earth-shattering, literal battles of life and death, overcoming unimaginable hurdles and obstacles that gave way to breakthrough and victory.
Know this, many giants died during the trek to get to where we are today. Now, we want to help you slay giants in your own life, your family, your community, and the world at large.
Hey, Sam Baratta here, let me give you a little nod into why I felt led to create the Giant Slayer Club and Academy for you.
First of all, I’m here to serve you and help you fulfill God’s assignment for your life. In fact, everything I do will be to help you in your journey, including sharing this story.
It all started one day after I became fed up with my life. I got on my knees and rededicated it to the Lord. I cried out to Him and said, “Lord, I’m so sorry for how I let my life get to this point. I repent and turn from my wicked ways, and I want to spend the rest of my life serving You, Your people, and Your Kingdom.
Just tell me what to do, and that’s what I’m going to do for the rest of my life!”
Now, mind you, back in the day, I spent many years serving at churches and ministries. I did everything from scrubbing toilets to sitting on advisory boards. But if I can be honest, I wasn’t looking to serve in another ministry at that point. That’s something I’ve done since I was a baby Christian, and I still do that to this day. It’s become part of my DNA as a Christian. 
This time around, though, I felt in my spirit that God was calling me to my personal assignment. Maybe you can relate!
From there I went on a journey of searching high and low to figure out what I needed to do to fulfill my calling.
Sadly, I came up empty-handed and literally couldn’t find a single resource, tool, or education that would help me find my calling or take the next step into going full-time as a minister.
The only things I came across were more people wanting to train me to serve at “their ministry.” The only other option was to go to a four-year college/seminary to become an ordained minister that way.
Those were the only options I could find, so I pointed them out to the Lord. But He told me that’s not the way for me, and if I could be honest, I felt He wasn’t even pleased with these options anymore.
Once again, I went to the Lord in prayer, as if He didn’t already know, but I explained to Him how I was coming up empty-handed and that all I wanted was to serve Him, His people, and His kingdom.
I cried out and said, “Lord, all I’m trying to do is figure out the first step. Please show me, and I’ll take it.” 
That’s when He spoke to me and said, “The reason you can’t find help is that there’s a gap in the modern Christian culture. That thing that you’re looking for and can’t find for yourself, it’s for you to build it for others. Your calling is to help others fulfill their calling.”
Then He laid out the details of what the Giant Slayer Club and the Giant Slayer Academy would look like. He went into great detail
He finished by saying, “And I have another way for people to answer their call that generates enough revenue to go full-time without the bondage of being a not-for-profit.” Again, I felt the Lord was not happy with the way the current system was working, but more on that later.
